“They were happy to communicate with us at every stage to ensure that we had all of the information we needed and were very accommodating for any changes that arose.”
Wythall Animal Sanctuary is a charitable organisation founded in 1968, and strives to rescue, shelter and rehabilitate neglected, mistreated and homeless animals from their premises in South Birmingham.
Their site consists of a number of separate buildings, most having no security at all and none having any fire detection. Following meetings with Ross and Dani, (the centres management team) plus the Sanctuary’s trustees, we were more than happy to step in and help out.
Initially a full electronic intruder alarm and hold up system was installed, to protect premises, staff and animals, linked to our 24/7 Alarm Receiving Centre using the Dualcom Dual Path secure signalling network. We then returned to remove the centres obsolete analogue CCTV system and install a new fully IP CCTV system with evidential quality colour images, remotely accessible for out of hours viewing and verification.
Finally we’ve installed an addressable fire detection and alarm system throughout the site, again remotely monitored by our Alarm Receiving Centre for Fire Brigade response. Should the worst ever happen, early warning will be critical to give staff a chance to evacuate animals to a place of safety.
