Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026
This notice explains how EDG Security Ltd (company number 08277956, registered office Corner Oak, 1 Homer Road, Solihull, B91 3QG) ("EDG Security", "we", "us") uses personal information when you visit this website or contact us. We are the controller of that information. If you have any questions, email info@edgsecurity.co.uk or call 0330 043 2636.
When you visit this website
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising tools.
To show you the website, the systems that deliver it receive the information every browser sends: your internet (IP) address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. Our website is built and run for us by Drip Create Ltd, and it is delivered by BunnyWay d.o.o. (bunny.net), based in the European Union, which keeps this information in short-lived server logs for delivery and security, normally for a few days. We use it only to run the website and keep it secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
Our website's fonts come from Adobe Fonts. When a page loads, your browser contacts Adobe's servers, so Adobe receives your IP address and details of the request. Adobe is based in the United States, so this information may leave the UK. You can ask us for more details about this. Adobe says Adobe Fonts does not set cookies for websites like ours. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing our website as designed.
Links to LinkedIn take you to LinkedIn's own website, where LinkedIn's privacy notice applies. We do not embed LinkedIn content on our pages.
When you contact us
If you email or phone us, we use your name, contact details and what you tell us to reply and to deal with your enquiry. Our email runs on Microsoft 365 (Microsoft). Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us or, where you are asking about our services, taking steps at your request before a contract. We keep enquiries that do not lead to any work only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. If you become a customer, we keep your records for as long as we need them after our work for you ends, for legal, accounting and insurance reasons.
Our enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form on our contact page, we receive your name, email address, phone number and message. We use them to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry, on the same legal basis and for the same periods as other enquiries (see above).
Until our new form system is ready, the form is sent through Web3Forms, a form service that Drip Create Ltd, the company that runs our website, uses for us. When you press send, your browser sends what you typed, and your IP address, to Web3Forms, which emails it to us. Web3Forms is based outside the UK and uses service providers that may handle your information in other countries, so your information may leave the UK. You can ask us for more details about this. Web3Forms may keep a copy of your enquiry for a period set out in its own privacy policy (opens in a new tab). The form does not set cookies. If you would rather not use it, you can email or phone us instead.
Marketing emails
We only send you news or offers by email if you have agreed to it, or if you are an existing customer and we are telling you about similar services of ours, and you have not said no. Every email has a link to stop them, and stopping takes effect straight away. We send these emails using an email marketing service, which handles your email address for us. If you unsubscribe, we keep a short note of your email address so that we do not email you again.
Customer testimonials
The customer comments, names and photos on this website are published with each person's permission. If you gave us one and want it removed, contact us and we will take it down.
Who else sees your information
Only the service providers named above and anyone we must share it with by law. We do not sell your information.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and, where it applies, to move it to another organisation. To do any of these, contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first; you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if anything changes, for example if we change how our enquiry form works or add website statistics, and we will change the date at the top.
